Pricing policy – build your package

Pricing policy

When it comes to booking a yacht, every charter company and booking agent has a different pricing policy. Often, customers have to fill in forms to request prices for particular weeks. Then they need to wait for an answer, so it can be a frustratingly slow process. Even when the answer comes, there are often hidden extras that get added on at later stages. Luckily, you are on The Yacht Break website! We are transparent, so on each yacht page you will be able to see a chart telling you exactly what price the boat is for each charter week that it is available. What is more, on that initial page you will also see a list of the other costs , both payable during the booking process, and what is due ohn departure day.

The upfront booking price

At The Yacht Break, we like to keep it simple:

Yacht price + Transit log  = Upfront booking price

If your holiday is within 40 days of the booking date, you will pay the full amount straight away. Otherwise, you can choose to pay in two installments: pay half when booking and the rest 40 days before sailing.

During the booking process, you can build your package to suit your needs

The optional extras that you select will be organized by The Yacht Break, and you will pay for them on the day of departure. This way if you change your mind, or if plans need to be modified, you have not paid for something that is no longer required. For example, if you change your mind about doing a one-way route (perhaps because of the weather), you would not need to pay the surcharge. You can make the call on departure day.

Crew

To keep prices low, it is best for you to pay for the crew directly on departure day. You can hand the skipper the wages for all the crew in euros and they will distribute it accordingly.

Other optional extras

The cost of other items, such as early check-in, safety nets, and water toys, will be payable on the day of departure during the check-in process at the charter office.

Tourist tax

You will pay the tourist tax, currently equivalent to a maximum of €1.50 per person per day, in cash (HRK) at the charter office during check-in.

Refundable deposit

While you are at the charter office, you will be required to authorize a refundable deposit against your credit card. Assuming that you do not cause any damage to the yacht during your sailing holiday (such as blocking the pipes with toilet paper or breaking the hatches), this will be returned at check-out.
